Ommatophora luminosa (Cramer, 1780)

瞳夜蛾(Ommatophora luminosa)是夜蛾科 (Noctuidae)裳蛾亞科(Catocalinae)的成員。本種的前翅為黑褐色底，外緣底色為黃 褐色，有兩條黑色波狀線，有一桃紅色帶自頂角延伸至中室前端後轉折延伸至後緣中央，桃紅色帶在中室處靠翅基方向有一條白線，中室前端有黑線圍成一"，"狀 斑紋，圓圈靠翅基方向有白線，翅基有一條波狀黑線與一條短黑線；後翅亦為黑褐色底，頂角與前緣有黃褐色斑，外緣到中室前端之間有三條黑色波狀線與兩條黑褐 色線。Ommatophora的種類不多，而在台灣僅有瞳夜蛾一種。

A Brief Introduction
Ommatophora luminosa represents the only species of Ommatophora distributed in Taiwan and could be easily identified from its wing pattern. Although O. luminosa has no relative species in the same genus, misidentification is possilely caused by the "eye-spot" on forewing which is also present on Erebus and Spirama. However, the eye-spot of O. luminosa is a simple ","-shaped spot while the eye-spot of the other two genera are more complicated.
