Rhagastis binoculata Matsumura, 1909

雙斑白肩天蛾(Rhagastis binoculata) 是天蛾科(Sphingidae)長喙天蛾亞科(Macroglossinae)長喙天蛾族(Macroglossini)的成員。本種的前翅背面為墨綠色底，外緣有一灰褐色帶，中央凸起，靠臀角有三個鋸齒，亞外緣有黃褐色區域，距翅基2/3處有多條短黑線，中室有一黑點，距翅基1/3處有一條膝狀黑線，翅基顏色較深，腹面為紅褐色底，佈滿細黑紋，外緣有黑色波狀帶，中央凸起延伸至翅中央，亞外緣有一排黑點，中央有一條黑線，翅基為黑色；後翅背面為黑褐色底，有一條橘帶，腹面為紅褐色底，佈滿細黑紋，外緣有黑色波狀帶，中央凸起延伸至翅中央，亞外緣有一排黑點，中央有一條黑線。

A Brief Introduction:
Rhagastis binoculata represents the only endemic species of Rhagastis in Taiwan and could be identified by the following characters: 1. black marking on apical region of forewing; 2. the pattern of dark lines on fore wing; 3. two parts of yellow-brownish markings on forwing.
