亞形錦葉苔

植物體直立長達5cm或更長，帶有絲綢般的光澤。葉略為偏向一邊呈鐮刀狀；葉基明顯分化，褐色至紅褐色；葉緣在葉中部具舷，約2-3列細胞寬，在葉上部呈鋸齒狀；中肋達尖至突出；上部葉背具成對齒。

筆者以前常誤認為此種為真苔Bryum argenteum，同樣植物體帶有白色至銀色的光澤，然而此種常有無性芽，植物體較為粗短，葉中央細胞較細長，若有蒴，則蒴不彎曲或微彎，可以真苔作區別。
