Hypatima rhomboidella Linnaeus, 1758

樺蠻麥蛾(Hypatima rhomboidella)是旋蛾科 / 麥蛾科(Gelechiidae) Chelariinae的成員。本種的前翅狹長，為淡黃褐色底，端部1/3有深褐色斑紋與數個黑斑，前緣中央有一塊黑色大三角斑延伸至前翅1/2寬處，近基部有一黑點；後翅為灰色，近基部為半透明，頂角凸出；停棲時下唇鬚上舉並向頭部後方延伸。蠻麥蛾屬(Hypatima)在台灣共紀錄7種，Park (1995)列舉了幾個該屬的鑑定特徵：1.下唇鬚第二節下方有豎起的鱗片，常分成兩部份；2. 下唇鬚第二節”內側”有豎起的鱗片(Park的描述為dorsally，然而筆者認為停棲時下唇鬚方向為ventrally，做成標本後下唇鬚方向才為dorsally，因此此處採用內側的說法，即靠近身體的一側)；3. 前翅一般較細且狹長，前緣中央一般有發達的斑紋；4. R4與R5不與M1共柄。
A Brief Introduction:
Hypatima rhomboidella belonging to rhomboidella species group represents the type of Hypatima and was known to be distributed only in central and Northern Europe until 1995. This species was characterized by a dark triangular marking on median anterior margin of forewing (compared to other Hypatima species in Taiwan) and a small black spot outside the triangular marking (compared to H. arignota).
