Deltoplastis ovatella Park & Heppner, 2001

卵斑塊三角折角蛾 (Deltoplastis ovatella)是折角蛾科 (Lecithoceridae) 瘤折角蛾亞科 (Torodorinae)的成員。本種的前翅主要為黃褐色，尖端凸出，外緣與亞外緣各有一條黑色帶，翅中央近亞外緣黑帶處有兩個黑點，翅近基部處有兩塊黑斑，其中一塊黑斑為卵狀，為學名與中文名的由來；後翅為灰黑色，無其他翅紋。卵斑塊三角折角蛾是直到2001年才被正式發表的新種。

A Brief Introduction:
The genus Deltoplastis is represented by 3 species in Taiwan. Among the three species, D. ovatella was just recently described and looks very similar with D. lobigera. In spite of genital characters, the former is larger in wingspan (>15mm) while the latter is smaller.
